About me
Hi! My name is Dr. Bianca Lins, LL.M., a Legal Manager with a great passion for cybersecurity and space. In 2012, I fulfilled a long-held dream: I completed my secondary education and began my law studies at Johannes Kepler University Linz in Austria. I successfully graduated in 2017. Subsequently, I pursued an Executive Master of Laws in Banking and Financial Markets Law, which I completed with distinction in 2019. My master's thesis on Robo Advice was awarded the prize for the best thesis. In 2021, I (temporarily) concluded my academic career with a doctorate, which I completed with summa cum laude.
After my studies, I worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Liechtenstein, focusing on digitalization and cybersecurity. In 2018, I organized the first "Cybersecurity & Law Conference" in Liechtenstein, initiated the certificate program "Digital Legal Officer," and still teach there today, for example, "Cybersecurity & Law." Since the end of 2020, I have been working as a Legal & Compliance Manager at the Liechtenstein Office for Communications, where I lead the new space sector and contributed to the development of space and cybersecurity law. I am a member of several committees and working groups, such as the BEREC Cybersecurity Working Group, the Eutelsat Advisory Committee, and the ITSO Advisory Committee (Chairperson in 2023 and 2024).
For several years now, I have been increasingly acting as an ambassador for cybersecurity to raise awareness of cyber dangers. My work includes lectures, publications, and mentoring, especially to promote young talent. For the younger generation in my hometown, I am also involved as chairwoman of the Association for the Promotion of the Young & Young-at-Heart Community of Tosters.
In August 2023, I was awarded the "Cybersecurity Woman of the Year" award in the Law Professional category. In December 2023, I was honored as one of the three finalists for the CEFCYS European Cyber Women Trophy. In September 2024, I was deeply honored to be named Cybersecurity Woman of the World during an unforgettable ceremony in Bled, Slovenia. It was an extraordinary moment — made even more meaningful by having my family by my side. A recognition I will always cherish, and a memory I will never forget.
Why This Website?
I created this website to serve a higher purpose—helping people become more aware of cybersecurity risks and empowering them to take control of their digital safety. In my work, I’ve seen firsthand how critical it is for individuals, families, and businesses to understand the evolving threats in the cyber landscape. Through the information and resources provided here, I aim to support and guide users in making their online lives safer, whether by educating them on common pitfalls, providing practical tips, or offering in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity measures. My goal is to make cyberspace more secure for everyone.
